03 MARCH 1887 GRAND RAPIDS EAGLE p. 4 Hanley, March 1.-The people of this locality having been treated to another and fiercer than any previous blizzard of this winter are at a loss how to navigate the roads as the snow is as high as the fences in some places, and in others the ground is bare, which makes it quite impossible to do much teaming of any kind. I Mr. B. F. Fay has quite a force of men in his employ ip the wood business. ' Mr. J. L. Swan has accepted a position as salesman of the Singer Sewing machine. The Ladles' Aid Society were entertained at the residence of Mrs. Lane at their regular meeting last week. Mrs. Wm. H. Thrasher is ill. School closes here next Friday. . Mr* Frank Gould, who formerly owned a farm in this town, having exchanged it for city property in Grand Rapids, expects hereafter to be a resident there. |
